Chris Bowden Big Buck!

Chris Bowden shot this deer in Powellville in the first week of November. he was being chased by dogs when chris shot at him with his bow. we tracked this deer for a long time with a good blood trail. eventually blood trail ended.....

chris's budy found this deer lying 800 yards from where the blood trail ended on a property that is next to the property we hunt. chris new it was his deer because the arrow was still sticking out of it. gut shot him. the hide is messed from not finding him for a few days. this deer is a huge 6 1/2 year old. too bad we could not find him right away. GREAT DEER CHRIS!

Youth Day Buck

Rattled thus deer in around 3 oclock. came out of no where. stayed behind a tree for a long time. not the biggest body, but good rack. stepped in a shooting lane 50 yards away. hit him in the heart with a 243. only ran 50 yards. landed in ditch. very proud of this deer. 8 pt.

thanks dad for taking me hunting, and getting me into the outdoors. what a great experience!

put up a trail camera in a new spot in willards where we are going to build a wooden stand. corn has only been out for a few days and the deer are starting to use it.

found an old box stand in willards with a fresh scrape near it. put some corn out and a trail camera to see what was there. look what we found. might be hunting this stand this evening....

Piebald Buck Encounter!!!

saw the young PIEBALD buck we have pictures of on trail camera while i was muzzleloader hunting yesterday evening. also saw a big spike, 2 small does, 1 big doe, and some fawns. i was hunitng in an uncut cornfield. here is the video of the whole hunt.

Piebald Buck

this deer looks like a piebald. lots of white spots on its body. in the first picture he is the one on the right fighting with another buck. in the second picture he is on the left. the closer deer in the second picture is not a piebald, that is just the flash from the trail camera. i wish i could make the pictures bigger so it was more noticeable.

just tried the video setting on our moultree feeder trail camera. works great. the past few days have been colder and the deer have started to move. the second video has a groundhog in it.

Video Clip of a Small Buck

this morning we saw 2 small bucks. my dad looked to his left and the 1st buck was only 25-30 yards away. it ran straight away from us and into the corn. i tried grunting to get it to come back out so i could film it. about 5 seconds after i grunted another small buck ran out of the corn. the clip is of the second buck. this all happened in about 2 min. we let both bucks go. in a few years they will be great deer.

Chris Bowden's 8 pt.

My buddy Chris Bowden shot an 8 pt. this evening. Today is the second the day of the MD muzzleloader season. this morning i had a fawn right under my stand but did not shoot. I did not see any this afternoon. Going to try and go tommrow morning and evening. I hope the rain holds out. Hopefully i will be able to get some deer on film.

Rut is Starting!!!

looks like the rut has begun in powellville. checked the trail camera today and saw some new bucks and a pair of bucks fighting. the trail camera was out since sat. morning and there was 190 pictures.
